What is WASHU?

Washu is a traditional and innovative sake that connects people and is made in the climate and culture of Japan.
Japan has four distinct seasons, rice fields and a world-class rice farming culture.
Sake is made from rice and water in more than 1,200 sake breweries in Japan.
Alcohol beverages made with Japanese brewing technology are called “Washu” such as Sake, Shochu and Sweet cooking rice sake.
Washu is a traditional Japanese industry that Japan boasts to the world. It is popular with tourists who visit Japan and wine lovers around the world.
The brewing technology of sake breweries is innovating, the quality and label design of sake are also improving year by year. Moreover, the flavor and artistry are highly evaluated by people all over the world.
Sake possesses the following three characteristics:
1. A beverage born from Japan’s unique terroir and culture
2. A drink that connects people
3. A spirit embodying both tradition and innovation
Washu Fes is one of Japan’s largest sake festivals where you can enjoy seasonal Japanese sake, food, and culture.

Gourmet Food and Sales Booths
At the food booths, you can enjoy a variety of dishes featuring local ingredients, regional specialties, and popular restaurants—all curated to pair perfectly with Japanese sake. The sake sales corner offers bottles of selected brands available for purchase on the spot, allowing you to take home your favorite drinks as souvenirs. A delivery service is also available, so you can have your purchases shipped directly from the venue to your home.

Stage Entertainment
On the venue stage, you can enjoy live music and performances while savoring your sake. Additionally, stage entertainment who are experts in Japanese sake and guests dressed in traditional Kimono will circulate throughout the venue to provide detailed introductions to the various sake brands. Miss SAKE is scheduled to appear as a special guest on both days, adding a touch of elegance in her Kimono to liven up the atmosphere.

・In case of bad weather, the decision to hold or cancel the event will be announced by 9:00 PM(Jpn Time) the day before on the official website (https://sakefes.com/) and via social media.
・If the organizer decides to cancel the event due to weather or other reasons, the ticket fee will be refunded.

・Take-out food is not allowed inside or on the dining tables.
